You can delete some of your data without deleting the account. This way you can keep the account and delete only the data you want to remove.
Types of Data You Can Delete
1. Profile Photos
What will be deleted:
Your profile photo
Custom photos uploaded manually
What will be kept:
Your account
Username
All other data
How to delete:
Open the ZuList app
Tap the Profile button in the bottom menu
Tap your profile photo
Select Remove Image or Remove Image
Confirm the deletion
2. Shopping Lists
What will be deleted:
The selected shopping list
All items in the list
List photos
List settings
What will be kept:
Your account
All other lists
Other personal data
How to delete:
Open the ZuList app
On the home screen, find the list you want to delete
Long press on the list (or tap three dots)
Select Delete List or Delete List
Confirm the deletion
3. Items in Lists
What will be deleted:
The selected item
Item photos
Notes on the item
Quantity and price (if entered)
What will be kept:
Your account
The list itself
All other items in the list
How to delete:
Open the ZuList app
Open the list containing the item
Long press on the item (or swipe left)
Select Delete or Delete
Confirm the deletion
4. List and Item Photos
What will be deleted:
List photos (background/custom image)
Item photos
Category photos
What will be kept:
Your account
The list/item/category itself
All other data
How to delete:
Open the list/item/category
Tap the photo
Select Remove Image or Remove Image
Confirm the deletion
5. Purchase History and Statistical Data
What will be deleted:
Purchase history (when items marked as purchased are deleted)
Statistical data (when lists are deleted)
History-based recommendations
What will be kept:
Your account
Active lists
Personal data
Note: Deleting purchase history is done automatically when items or lists are deleted. No separate action is required.
ℹ️ Important Information:
Data deletion is immediate - data is deleted immediately from the device and cloud
Deleted data cannot be recovered
If you participate in shared lists, deleting items/lists will also affect other users
Your account will remain active even after deleting data
Retention Period
Deleted data will be removed from our servers within 30 days. During this period, data may be retained in backups, but will not be accessible through the app.
