How does whistle detection work?

Whistle Camera uses advanced audio processing to detect whistle sounds in real-time. When a whistle is detected, the app can automatically capture a photo or start/stop video recording. You can adjust the sensitivity in the app settings to match your environment.

What is incognito mode?

Incognito mode displays a black screen overlay while recording or capturing photos, providing privacy protection. This allows you to capture media discreetly without the screen showing what's being captured.

How do I access the camera from the Lock Screen?

Whistle Camera supports quick access from the Lock Screen, Control Center, and Action Button (iOS 18+). Simply add the camera widget to your Control Center or use the Action Button if your device supports it. The app will launch directly into camera mode.

Does Whistle Camera require an internet connection?

No, Whistle Camera works completely offline. All photos and videos are stored locally on your device. The app only requires internet access if you choose to share media or if you contact support.

How do I adjust whistle detection sensitivity?

Go to Settings → Whistle Detection → Sensitivity. You can adjust the sensitivity slider to make detection more or less sensitive. Higher sensitivity will detect quieter whistles, while lower sensitivity requires louder whistles.

Can I use Whistle Camera without microphone access?

Whistle detection requires microphone access. However, you can still use the app for regular photo and video capture without whistle detection. The microphone is only used for real-time whistle detection processing and no audio is recorded or stored.
